1.Rotary Shearing

Rotary shearing can be divided into tangential shearing and non-tangential shearing.

  • Tangential Shearing: In this method, the material is sheared along the tangential direction of the upper and lower circular blades. The advantage is that it is convenient to adjust the blades. The upper and lower circular blades can be easily repositioned according to the shearing max-width='100%' width requirements. However, the material is prone to drifting at the shearing point, resulting in lower precision. This method is rarely used nowadays.
  • Non-Tangential Shearing: The material has a certain wrap angle with the lower circular blade. The lower circular blade descends to shear the material. This method prevents material drifting and offers higher shearing precision. However, blade adjustment is not as convenient. The entire shaft must be disassembled when installing the lower circular blade. Rotary shearing is suitable for shearing relatively thick composite films and paper products.

2. Compression Shearing

Compression shearing is relatively uncommon. It consists of a bottom roller that rotates synchronously with the material speed and has a certain wrap angle with the material, along with an easily adjustable pneumatic blade. This shearing method can handle both thin plastic films and thicker materials like paper and nonwoven fabrics. It is a convenient shearing method and represents a developmental direction for shearing machines.
